Description
This one was painted in Painter 7. I only used the palette knife tool for this painting, trying to go for a more spontaneous look. I ended up with a tight rendering anyway. So much for trying to limit my tools for more a looser look. I used a magazine pic as reference, but I made significant changes so that the painting looks very different from the reference. This piece was the last time I used references that wasn't my own--now I shoot my own references.
